Japan's first common point service "T-POINT"

With one card, the same points can be earned and used at various stores.

The now commonplace "T-POINT" common point service began with the TSUTAYA rental membership card.

When T-POINT was launched in 2003, customers' wallets were always overflowing with point cards and credit cards that differed from store to store. The "T-CARD" was born from the idea that it would be convenient to have a single card that can be used for both points and credit card transactions, as well as a membership card, to keep such wallets clean. Today, it has grown into a point service that can be used at approximately 150,000 stores nationwide, including convenience stores, supermarkets, drugstores, restaurants, specialty stores, clothing stores, electronics retailers, and electric power companies, in every aspect of daily life.

In the spring of 2024, " T-POINT " will become blue and yellow "V POINT"

In October 2023, it will be 20 years since the service was launched. "T-POINT" has been patronized by many customers and has been used by approximately 130 million customers (number of valid IDs). As point services and payment services are becoming closer together, we are integrating V POINT, which can be earned and used at 100 million Visa member stores worldwide, with SMBC Group's V POINT to provide more people with seamless and more valuable point and payment services. In the spring of 2024, we will launch a new common point service, blue and yellow " V POINT ".

To a point of free use, not tied to an economic zone.

The logo represents the new world of points, which fuses the blue and yellow colors of "T-POINT" with "V POINT" that can be used at Visa locations around the world.

The blue and yellow "V POINT" will aim to be "points that everyone can use," where more customers can accumulate points without being aware of them, and where they are easy to use, free, secure, and not tied to a specific economic sphere. The brand statement expresses this sentiment.

T-POINT met V POINT.

Storing the entire functionality and potential of Visa-based V-Points,

A point will be created that will be in the middle of the future cashless system.

A new era, a new affluence will be born.

It will accumulate as a matter of course, even if we are not conscious of it.

Being able to use it anywhere becomes the norm.

Before you know it, everyone's everyday life will become a whole lot happier.
