"Aigan Glasses" launches T-Point service

-The only major eyewear retail chain! Earn and use T-points when you buy glasses!-
Aigan Co., Ltd. (Head office: Tennoji-ku, Osaka; President and CEO: Michio Shimojo; hereinafter referred to as "Aigan") and T Point Japan Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda; hereinafter referred to as "T Point Japan") have signed a T Point Program Agreement, and will introduce the T Point service at Aigan stores from Friday, August 29, 2014. This initiative makes Aigan the only major eyeglass retail chain to offer the T-Point service.
As of August 2014, Aigan operates 265 eyeglass retail stores nationwide. T Point service can be used at these stores*1. Customers with a T Card can use T Points at Aigan stores at a rate of 1 point = 1 yen, and can earn 1 T Point for every 200 yen (tax included) spent. Customers who do not have a T-Card can apply for one at an Aigan store. To commemorate the launch of the T Point service, we will be holding a "10x Points Campaign" from Friday, August 29th to Sunday, September 28th, where you will earn 10 points for every 200 yen (tax included) you spend. We also plan to hold various T Point campaigns in the future.
Aigan introduced its visual identity (VI) in 2012 and is now in its third year as the new Aigan. During this time, we have released products such as "POCOP," the world's only Guinness-certified eyeglasses, and "FOR Yu" bath glasses. In line with our corporate brand communication concept of "Eyeglasses Entertainment," we have been developing and selling products that make the process of "selecting," "buying," and "wearing" glasses more enjoyable. As we move to the next stage, we have high hopes for the T-Point service as a new way to attract customers.
As of the end of July 2014, there were 49.18 million T-Point customers*2, of which 9.33 million were in their 20s (71.4% of the population in their 20s). By adding the ability to reach the younger demographic who use T-Points to the customer base that Aigan has cultivated to date, it will be possible to approach customers in a way that enhances the synergistic effects of both parties.
Aigan and T Point Japan will continue to strive to improve services and offer a richer lifestyle through the T Point service to customers of all ages who love wearing glasses.
