Notice and request regarding fraudulent use of T-POINT

2013.07.26 Announcements
Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. / T Point Japan Co., Ltd.

On July 15th, it was confirmed that a third party impersonating a customer logged into the "T-SITE" using a T-ID and password, and fraudulently linked the T-CARD number associated with the ID to a Yahoo! JAPAN ID, thereby using T-POINT. We have since taken measures to hide some of the customer registration information on the "T-SITE," and have therefore taken measures to prevent fraudulent use using this method. As of 10:00 on July 26th, there were 27 cases where people reported having points usage history that they did not remember.

For customers who are found to have fraudulently used T-POINT, we will respond individually, including compensating for the fraudulently used points. Additionally, if you receive an email stating that your Yahoo! JAPAN ID and T-CARD number have been linked, even if you do not remember using it, we advise you to contact us. As a result of the investigation, no leaks of T-IDs and passwords from our company due to external intrusions or other reasons have been confirmed.

To ensure that you can use our services safely in the future, we would appreciate it if you would take measures such as changing your passwords regularly and setting complex passwords for each site you use. We will continue to provide reminders to ensure safe use of the Internet.
