Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Tokyo Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda) launched the "T-CARD Plus*1 x Food Kingdom Miyagi" campaign on November 16, 2010 (Tuesday) as a collaborative project with the Miyagi Prefectural Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries' "Food Kingdom Miyagi" initiative.

This campaign allows customers who have a T-CARD Plus, a credit card issued by TSUTAYA that allows you to accumulate T-POINTs*2 at a great rate, to apply for the campaign through the dedicated website and be entered into a lottery to win carefully selected ingredients from Miyagi Prefecture, provided by producers who support "Miyagi, the Kingdom of Food."
This collaboration with Miyagi Prefecture marks the first time our "T-CARD Plus" card has partnered with a local government. We plan to continue collaborating with various initiatives undertaken by Miyagi Prefecture, such as "Miyagi, the Kingdom of Food Ingredients."

Through this initiative, we aim to offer a convenient, rewarding, and delicious lifestyle to our 5.77 million customers who hold a TSUTAYA-issued T-CARD with credit functionality.

■Miyagi, the Kingdom of Food: Miyagi Prefecture is surrounded by abundant nature and blessed with a wide variety of ingredients nurtured by the sea, mountains, and land. Taking advantage of this, the prefecture has begun various joint public-private initiatives, such as developing a food-related information network to enhance food-related industries and holding events to promote local ingredients. Furthermore, we are promoting Miyagi as a "Kingdom of Food" so that people all over the country will associate Miyagi with food. Based on Miyagi Prefecture's diverse food resources and advantageous geographical conditions, we aim to create a variety of food-related business opportunities and employment throughout the prefecture, from production to processing, distribution, and consumption, by leveraging unique local ideas and ingenuity.
■T-CARD Plus: This is a T-CARD with credit card functionality issued by TSUTAYA. Customers who do not yet have a T-CARD Plus can apply through the T-CARD Plus application page.
