YKK AP Inc. (Tokyo Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Tadahiro Yoshida) and Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Tokyo Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda; hereinafter referred to as CCC) have concluded a business alliance regarding the introduction of the T-POINT service, and will begin offering the T-POINT service at "MADO Shop," a window renovation specialty store brand established by building material distributors nationwide with which YKK AP has partnerships, starting in June of this year. The products covered are the "Smart Cover Method" for exterior windows and the "Plamado U" series for interior windows. The number of points awarded varies depending on the product. For example, a large room terrace window (2.8 m²) will earn you 1,200 points.

The "MADO Shop," which launched in April of last year, has now expanded to 350 stores nationwide, from Hokkaido to Kyushu, and aims to reach 500 stores by the end of fiscal year 2011, and 1,000 stores in the future. Along with this geographical expansion of our sales network, we plan to focus particularly on creating "local stores" that are approachable and easy to consult with, starting in fiscal year 2011. Therefore, we have decided to introduce the T-POINT service, which is widely recognized as a point system closely tied to local communities. At "MADO Shop," we will display T-POINT banners and posters to emphasize that it is a store for consumers. Furthermore, we plan to utilize the 37.03 million T-CARD members (as of the end of March 2011), which represent more than a quarter of Japan's total population, and their database to provide useful information to consumers.

The T-POINT service, operated by CCC, can be used in a wide range of fields closely related to daily life, including TSUTAYA, convenience stores, supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, gas stations, fashion, sports, travel, and internet services. As of the end of March 2011, it has partnered with 68 companies and approximately 35,000 stores. CCC aims to expand the opportunities for using T-POINTs in various aspects of daily life, making people's lifestyles more convenient. In recent years, as consumer concern for environmental issues has increased, this new partnership in the window renovation sector, which is attracting attention as an energy-saving housing option, will enable us to provide a new point service in the "housing" aspect of "clothing, food, and housing," which are essential for daily life.

Through its "MADO Shop" business activities, which aim to "improve windows in Japan," YKK AP hopes to fulfill its social mission by promoting window renovations for homes with poor insulation performance. This will not only contribute to environmental considerations such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions, but also to Japan's energy conservation policies and electricity saving, which are increasingly needed given the current social situation. Furthermore, CCC aims to constantly propose new lifestyles to customers of all generations. The mutual understanding and appreciation of each other's corporate stances was a major reason for the business partnership.

<What is "MADO Shop"?>
"MADO Shop" is a new store brand established by building material distributors nationwide with whom YKK AP has a partnership. It provides comprehensive services, from consultation and diagnosis to proposals, contracts, installation, and after-sales support, acting as a specialist advisor for windows. We launched this initiative with the aim of developing a new market model, taking advantage of the boost from the housing eco-point program that began in March of last year. Following the extension of the housing eco-point program (until the end of December 2011), we will aim to further expand sales this fiscal year.

Two features of "MADO Shop"
The main features are the "Window Diagnosis Service" and the new construction method, the "smart cover method."Our "Window Diagnosis Service" involves a specialist visiting your home and conducting a diagnosis using measuring equipment on five performance items: "insulation," "condensation prevention," "solar radiation (heat shielding)," "soundproofing," and "security."Based on that data, we conduct an objective performance evaluation and propose the most suitable window renovation plan.
The "Smart Cover Method" is a new construction method that eliminates the need for wall construction and is the first in the industry to enable "installation from inside" and "compatibility with various types of windows" for exterior window replacement. It has fewer restrictions on the installation location, and allows for easy window renovations with a short installation time. This construction method is an original product of "MADO Shop".
