—Your T-card presentation will help make children's centers more smile-filled—
Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Tokyo Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda; hereinafter referred to as "CCC"), which operates the common point service "T-POINT," has launched a joint project with 70 T-POINT alliance companies: "Show your T-CARD to bring children's centers to disaster-stricken areas." This initiative will be implemented for approximately nine months, from June 28, 2011 to March 31, 2012.
CCC has been involved in various initiatives aimed at recovery and reconstruction from the Great East Japan Earthquake, including the "T-POINT Donation" program, which provides relief funds to support the lives of residents in the areas affected by the earthquake, and the "Kokoro+ Project," which aims to provide cultural support to disaster victims forced to live in evacuation centers.
This initiative aims to connect the network of 70 T-POINT alliance companies and approximately 35,000 stores nationwide with the network of 37.36 million T-CARD members, representing more than a quarter of Japan's population, and to support the construction of children's centers in the areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake for the children who will shape the future. We will launch the "Project."
Through this project, CCC aims to ensure that the actions of each T-CARD holder—"presenting your T-CARD and accumulating T-POINT"—will contribute to the revitalization of the Japanese economy, the recovery of areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, and provide ongoing support to those affected. And CCC and all T-POINT Alliance companies will continue their activities with T-POINT as a point system that connects people to people and people to society.
"Show your T-CARD to help bring children's centers to disaster-stricken areas." Project Overview
1% of the total T-POINT awarded to T-CARD members who present their T-CARD or apply for points during the eligible period (1), and the total number of T-POINT accumulated during the period by those who registered via the T-SITE during the eligible period (2), will be converted at a rate of 1 point = 1 yen and the entire amount will be used to fund the construction of children's centers in the areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, through local governments in the affected areas. Children's centers will be built in the affected areas for the children affected by the disaster.
(1) Support by accumulating lots of T-POINT
CCC will contribute 1% of the total T-POINT awarded to T-CARD members during the eligible period by presenting their T-CARD or applying for points, converted at a rate of 1 point = 1 yen, as a donation for the construction of a children's center.
Target period: June 28, 2011 (Tue) - July 31, 2011 (Sun)
(2) Make a support declaration entry and provide support
T-CARD members who register their support declaration on the special project page within T-SITE (http://tsite.jp/) will have all of their accumulated T-POINT during the eligible period converted to 1 point = 1 yen, and these will be donated to the construction of the children's center.
Target period: June 28, 2011 (Tue) - March 31, 2012 (Sat)
