Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. has compiled the "TSUTAYA Ranking for the First Half of 2011," which is based on the number of rentals from January 1st to June 30th, 2011, at TSUTAYA stores, which operate 1,413 locations nationwide (as of the end of June 2011). We are now announcing the top 20 in the DVD rental category.

The film that topped the rental rankings for the first half of the year was "Confessions," which ranked in the top 10 of the monthly DVD rental rankings for six consecutive months from January to June 2011. This marks the first time in TSUTAYA's history that a Japanese film has topped the first half of the year's rankings. In the first half of this year, Japanese films performed well, with half of the top 20 films being Japanese (10 titles).
