Card Services Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Japan Representative: Kensuke Sakane; hereinafter "Card Services Japan"), a group company of MasterCard Worldwide, and Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Tokyo Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda; hereinafter "CCC"), which operates "T-POINT" *1, Japan's largest common point service, will begin offering the T-POINT service operated by CCC on "Cash Passport" *2, a prepaid travel money card for overseas use handled by Card Services Japan, starting August 1, 2011.

"Cash Passport" is a prepaid travel money card for overseas use that can be used without screening or age restrictions. If cardholders deposit money into their Cash Passport in Japan before traveling abroad, cardholders can withdraw local currency at MasterCard ATMs in over 210 countries and approximately 1.2 million UnionPay ATMs, including those in China. Cardholders can also use it like a debit card at MasterCard and UnionPay merchants in their destination country.

This initiative will provide T-POINT based on the amount spent when withdrawing local currency from ATMs using Cash Passport, and when using Cash Passport at participating merchants. T-CARD members can apply using a special application form on the dedicated website or at a travel agency counter to receive a Cash Passport that allows them to accumulate T-POINT in over 210 countries overseas, including China, the United States, and Europe.

Card Services Japan and CCC aim to issue 120,000 Cash Passports annually through this initiative, providing a more convenient and secure service for the 16.64 million overseas travelers*3 and 37.97 million T-CARD members who travel abroad for leisure, business, or study, allowing them to easily and safely exchange foreign currency and make payments while overseas. They will also provide an environment where T-POINT can be accumulated in everyday life abroad.

■Eligible Cash Passports:
(1) MasterCard Cash Passport in Japanese Yen
(2) UnionPay Cash Passport denominated in Japanese Yen

■Target Services:
(1) Withdrawing local currency from a MasterCard ATM/UnionPay ATM in a destination country.
(2) Shopping at MasterCard/UnionPay merchants in a destination country.
*This product cannot be used in Japan.

■T-POINT Accrual Rate:
1 point for every 200 yen (tax included)

■How to Apply for a Cash Passport:
(1) Apply for a Cash Passport online

(2) In-store applications at travel agencies (scheduled to begin sequentially from mid-August)
*Applications must be submitted using the designated application form.

■How to Deposit Money into Your Cash Passport:
Transfer to the dedicated account of Card Services Japan Co., Ltd.
*A 1% fee will be charged on the deposit amount.

■Exchange Rates and Foreign Exchange Fees:
The exchange rate will be calculated by multiplying the rate set by MasterCard International Incorporated or China UnionPay Co., Limited on the withdrawal/transaction date by 4%.

*1 The common point service "T-POINT" was launched in October 2003 and has grown into a point service held by 37.57 million people as of the end of June 2011, representing more than one in four people in Japan. Furthermore, the number of participating companies in "T-POINT" reaches approximately 35,000 stores across 70 companies, and it can be used in a wide range of fields closely related to daily life, including TSUTAYA, FamilyMart, ENEOS, Doutor Coffee Shop, Gusto, Camera Kitamura, Kinki Nippon Tourist, Yahoo! Shopping, and more.
