Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Tokyo Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda; hereinafter referred to as CCC), which operates more than 1,400 stores nationwide, will open "TSUTAYA BOOKS Maebashi Minami Mall Store" in Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture on August 26, 2011 (Friday), which will be the largest TSUTAYA store in Japan in terms of sales floor area. This store will be the 70th TSUTAYA store operated by Top Culture Co., Ltd. (listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, head office: Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture, Representative Director: Hideo Shimizu), a franchisee.

"TSUTAYA BOOKS Maebashi Minami Mall Store" will be the first of CCC's planned large-scale TSUTAYA stores, each exceeding 5,000 square meters and featuring a super-large bookstore. Our store's concept is to offer a wide selection of popular titles and products, to help customers find the titles they're looking for, and to help customers discover new ways to have fun. We have a massive bookstore spanning over 2,500 square meters, a large stationery and general goods store spanning 1,000 square meters, and one of the largest selections of DVDs and CDs in the prefecture for rent. We also have a BOOK & CAFE where customers can enjoy browsing books with a cup of coffee before purchasing them.

In line with TSUTAYA's concept of "lifestyle proposals," the core of the bookstore and sales area is the "Lifestyle Zone," where hobby and practical books are divided into zones such as "Cooking" and "Sewing," creating a space where customers can choose books within the worldview of each theme. In addition, the store boasts the largest selection of magazines and books in the prefecture that cater to hobbies and interests such as "Travel," "Gourmet," and "Railroads." Furthermore, in terms of product selection, TSUTAYA will offer a wide range of specialized books, including science and engineering, medicine, nursing, welfare, and art books, which it has not carried before.
 TSUTAYA positions books and magazines as its core products in order to offer customers information on new lifestyles. Starting with the opening of "TSUTAYA BOOKS Maebashi Minami Mall Store," we will expand the number of TSUTAYA stores, which are super-large bookstores equipped with a wide selection of products and a spacious sales floor.
