—70 T-Point Alliance Companies Joint Project: "Show your T-Card to help bring children's centers to disaster-stricken areas.""—
Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Tokyo Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda; hereinafter "CCC"), which operates "T-POINT," Japan's largest common point service, and 70 T-POINT Alliance companies have launched a joint project, "Show your T-CARD to build a children's center in disaster-stricken areas," from June 28, 2011 to March 31, 2012, to construct children's centers for children who will shape the future in the areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake. Showing your T-CARD will help make children's centers more smile-filled. We are currently implementing the following: We are pleased to announce that the first children's center built through this project, "Minamisanriku Town Everyone's Children's Center" (Motoyoshi District, Miyagi Prefecture), was completed on September 5, 2011.
In this project, we worked together with the local community to construct the children's center, receiving cooperation from construction companies in the Minamisanriku region, the Minamisanriku Town Health and Welfare Division, the students of Minamisanriku Town Shizugawa Elementary School, and the Foundation for the Promotion of Sound Child Development in all stages of construction, including architecture, design, interior, playground equipment, and electrical work. "Minamisanriku Town Everyone's Children's Center" is scheduled to begin operations in late September after being handed over from CCC to Minamisanriku Town. CCC hopes that "Minamisanriku Town Everyone's Children's Center" will become a community space where not only the children of Minamisanriku Town, but also their mothers and all the local residents can gather, play, laugh, and talk together.
Through this project, CCC aims to ensure that the actions of each T-CARD holder—"presenting your T-CARD and accumulating T-POINT"—will contribute to the revitalization of the Japanese economy, the recovery of areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, and provide ongoing support to those affected. Furthermore, CCC and all T-POINT Alliance companies will continue their activities with T-POINT as a point system that connects people to people and people to society.
