— T-POINT service launched for the first time in vending machines! —

Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Tokyo Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda; hereinafter "CCC"), which operates "T-POINT," Japan's largest common point service, has partnered with Kirin Beverage Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Hitoshi Maeda; hereinafter "Kirin Beverage") to introduce the "T-POINT service," and will sequentially deploy "T-POINT vending machines" where customers can accumulate "T-POINT" starting in the Tokyo metropolitan area* from 2012. Kirin Beverage is the first company to introduce the "T-POINT service" to its vending machines.

A "T-POINT vending machine" is a vending machine where customers can earn one T-POINT for each product purchased by scanning their T-CARD at the dedicated card reader installed on the machine. The service will be rolled out gradually starting in the Tokyo metropolitan area from January 2012, with a target of installing more than 1,000 units in the first year. Furthermore, we aim to provide even more value-added services and enhance customer satisfaction by utilizing sales information from "T-POINT vending machines" in our marketing activities.

Kirin Beverage offers a variety of value-added vending machines, including "Pink Ribbon vending machines" to support the Pink Ribbon campaign and "Bell Mark vending machines" as part of the Bell Mark program to support the development of the next generation. This time, by introducing a new value-added vending machine service called "T-POINT service," we will offer our customers an even more attractive way to purchase products.

CCC launched its common point service, "T-POINT service," in October 2003, and as of the end of October 2011, the "T-POINT service" has expanded to 38.59 million users, representing approximately one in three people in Japan. Furthermore, the number of participating companies in the "T-POINT service" reaches approximately 40,000 stores across 80 companies, and it can be used in a wide range of fields closely related to daily life, including TSUTAYA, FamilyMart, ENEOS, Gusto, Camera Kitamura, Yahoo! Shopping, and more. With the launch of these "T-POINT vending machines," CCC will now be able to offer the "T-POINT service" at vending machines, which are a particularly familiar part of people's lifestyles, and will propose even more advantageous and convenient lifestyle options to T-POINT members nationwide.
