Although our TSUTAYA Hinode Store did not knowingly purchase stolen goods or suspect any items of being stolen, the Tokyo Metropolitan Public Safety Commission issued a 14-day business suspension order from December 5th (Monday) to December 18th (Sunday), 2011, for failing to report under the Secondhand Goods Business Act.
We sincerely apologize to our customers at TSUTAYA Hinode Store for any inconvenience caused by the temporary closure of the secondhand goods section.
While CCC has never knowingly purchased stolen goods or goods suspected of being stolen, we sincerely acknowledge and regret the problems with the purchasing operations and training at the store that failed to recognize suspicious transactions. We will take action as announced on our website on November 29, 2011.
