Following the incident at its directly managed store in Hinode-machi, Nishitama-gun, Tokyo, Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. has reflected on its lack of awareness regarding the prevention of juvenile crime and has established the "Youth Protection Promotion Committee" on December 15, 2011, with President and CEO Muneaki Masuda as its chairman, in order to improve this situation.
The Youth Protection Promotion Committee will conduct a survey of the current situation to promote and implement measures for youth protection, decide on and implement those measures, and, most importantly, ensure that all franchise stores thoroughly understand the three key aspects of crime prevention under the Secondhand Goods Business Act.
