Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd., which operates "TSUTAYA BOOKS" and "TSUTAYA" stores nationwide that propose lifestyles to customers through books, movies, music, and more, has compiled the number of comic book rentals at its stores nationwide from January 1st to October 31st, 2011, and will announce the "2011 TSUTAYA Annual Ranking."
In the comic rental rankings, works that were adapted into movies or dramas in 2011, such as "GANTZ" (which took first place), "Usagi Drop," and "JIN," made it into the top 10. In addition, many works that are scheduled to be made into movies, such as "Attack on Titan" and "Thermae Romae," ranked highly.
