Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Tokyo Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda), which operates 1,464 TSUTAYA stores nationwide, will begin offering movies under the "TSUTAYA" brand starting in 2012. First, we will be offering 5 to 6 films annually, starting with "My Week with Marilyn," which was nominated for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actor at this year's (84th) Academy Awards and also won the Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy category at the 69th Golden Globe Awards (nationwide release on March 24th).

Up until now, TSUTAYA has been working to bring many lesser-known but truly interesting classic films to movie fans through various initiatives, including in-store promotions such as "TSUTAYA Hidden Gems" and "Reprint Request Campaigns," as well as services such as "On-Demand DVD," a system that produces DVDs one at a time.

On the other hand, we also believe it is important to ensure that interesting movies are seen by as many movie fans as possible when they are released in theaters, and as part of our efforts to achieve this, we have decided to start offering movies under the "TSUTAYA" brand. The first film, "My Week with Marilyn," is scheduled for release on March 24th, and we plan to conduct promotions at TSUTAYA stores and other locations in the future.
