Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Tokyo Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda; hereinafter referred to as CCC), which operates "T-Point," Japan's largest common point service, will hold the "T-Point Ladies Golf Tournament," a women's professional golf tour sanctioned by the Japan Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), which has been held since 2010, for three days from Friday, March 16th to Sunday, March 18th, 2012, at Kagoshima Takamaki Country Club in Kagoshima.

Last year's tournament was unfortunately canceled due to the Great East Japan Earthquake, but this year, it will be held for the first time in two years. The competition will feature fierce and brilliant battles, centered around the first champion, Rui Kitada, and the Yokomine sisters, Sakura and Rui, who are from Kagoshima Prefecture. Furthermore, as with the first tournament, this tournament will also be open to many amateur players in order to support the challenges of junior players. Participants are expected to include Ayumi Oyama from Kagoshima, who is a high school student but is very active in the junior world, Minami Katsu, a first-year junior high school student who was crowned the No. 1 junior player in the nation two years ago, and Kotono Kozuma, a promising newcomer who passed the professional test last year. Furthermore, professional golfer Miho Koga, who sadly retired last year, will be appearing as a round reporter for the television broadcast of this tournament.

The venue for this tournament will be the prestigious Kagoshima Takamaki Country Club (Kamou-cho, Aira City, Kagoshima Prefecture), a renowned golf course in Kagoshima Prefecture. This course, designed in 1992 by renowned golf course architect Hisamitsu Onishi, is one of Kagoshima's premier courses. During the tournament, Gallery Plaza will host the "Fukko-ichi" (a temporary shopping street) held by Minamisanriku Town in Miyagi Prefecture, which was damaged by the earthquake, with the aim of promoting reconstruction. The stalls will sell local specialties from Minamisanriku Town. In addition, Minamisanriku Town is participating in the "Show your T-card to help support children's centers in disaster-stricken areas" project, a joint project of 81 T-point alliance companies that has been underway since June of last year. The children's center "Minamisanriku Town Minna no Jidokan" (Everyone's Children's Center), which was established through the "[organization name]", opened last October.

CCC aims to create a tournament where spectators and athletes who deliver their best performances can have an unforgettable experience, and through this tournament, we hope that many people will experience the wonderful essence of sports: its ability to move people's hearts.

[About Sports Garbage Collection]
"Sports Garbage Picking" is a completely new sport that combines sports and environmental conservation activities. It's a team competition with three members per team, where participants pick up garbage in a designated area within a set time limit, and compete against each other based on the quality and quantity of the garbage they collect. By transforming litter picking from an "environmental service activity" into a "sport/competition," participants can enjoy picking up litter as a sport, fostering a sense of camaraderie and raising their environmental awareness. Picking up trash not only beautifies the town, but the sight of participants actively and enthusiastically picking up litter also raises environmental awareness among local residents and passersby.
