Top Culture Co., Ltd. (listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, Headquarters: Nishi-ku, Niigata City, President and CEO: Hideo Shimizu) will open "TSUTAYA BOOKS Foreo Shobu Store," a large-scale multi-purpose bookstore with a sales floor area of 2,300 tsubo (approximately 7,600 square meters) and the largest number of books in stock in Japan, in Kuki City, Saitama Prefecture on Saturday, March 17, 2012. This store will be the 71st TSUTAYA store operated by Top Culture Co., Ltd.

"TSUTAYA BOOKS Foreo Shobu Store" is the second store in the series of super-large TSUTAYA stores, each boasting a 5,000 square meter space, which are currently being expanded by "TSUTAYA BOOKS," a bookstore chain that became the largest in Japan in terms of sales volume, with book and magazine sales exceeding 100 billion yen in 2011.

With the concept of discovering new forms of enjoyment, providing a place for families and friends to gather through enjoyment, and embracing the "power of inspiration," this large bookstore, accessible by car and open from morning until late at night, offers a wide variety of magazines, literary works, paperbacks, new releases, business books, and comics, as well as specialized books in fields such as medicine, nursing, caregiving, and science and engineering, boasting one of the largest selections in the prefecture with over 700,000 titles.

Its features include a selection of books catering to the desires of the "premium age"—primarily the baby boomer generation—who enjoy a "new adult lifestyle." This includes over 10,000 titles of books on hobbies and interests, such as cookbooks, as well as a wide range of books on history, philosophy, religion, and art that can be used by specialists. Furthermore, the "Kids Area," boasting an unparalleled collection of approximately 25,000 children's books and picture books, is a place where three generations—parents, children, and grandchildren—can happily spend time together. Our stationery and general merchandise store, the largest in the region at 600 tsubo (approximately 2,000 square meters), offers not only stationery but also educational toys, fancy goods, kitchenware, interior goods, art supplies, and more—approximately 100,000 items to suit the lifestyles of people of all ages.

Our DVD and CD sales include a total of approximately 60,000 items, with a particularly large selection of jazz and classical music totaling around 10,000 titles, making it one of the largest selections in the region. In addition, we have a rich selection of classic rock, pop, and Japanese popular songs from the 60s and 70s that the "Premier Age" has grown up with, so we are sure that adults, especially baby boomers, will be satisfied with our store. In addition, just like our bookstore, we have a wide selection of kids' DVDs and CDs to satisfy three generations of customers.

The store also has a listening area where you can comfortably sit and listen to over 100 album titles for preview.
