TSUTAYA.com Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Kazuo Nakanishi) has launched its online video streaming service "TSUTAYA TV" (http://tsutaya-tv.jp/) for Samsung Electronics Japan Co., Ltd.'s Android devices starting July 21, 2012 (Saturday).
The service will initially be launched on the "docomo NEXT series GALAXY Note SC-05D" (hereinafter referred to as GALAXY Note), a smartphone with a large 5.3-inch screen and touch pen support, and the number of compatible devices will be gradually expanded in the future. Please note that in order to use this service, you will need to download the "TSUTAYA TV" app from "Samsung Apps" and then register as a "TSUTAYA TV" member.
To coincide with the launch of this service, we have started a "1,000 Points Giveaway Campaign" from July 21, 2012 (Saturday), for all new members who register via GALAXY Note and apply for the campaign. The points earned through this campaign can be used at a rate of 1 point = 1 yen when watching videos on "TSUTAYA TV," so please take this opportunity to use the "TSUTAYA TV" service.
To enter, simply register as a new member of "TSUTAYA TV" during the campaign period and select "[Register]" on the screen that appears.
