—Starting August 1, 2012 (Wednesday)—
TSUTAYA.com Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Kazuo Nakanishi) operates the online DVD/CD rental service TSUTAYA DISCAS. http://www.discas.net/) will be launching a service that allows unlimited rentals of older DVD titles.
The applicable plans include two plans, including the "Fixed-Rate Rental 8" plan at ¥1,958 (tax included) per month. In addition to the previous plan which allowed you to rent up to 8 DVDs/CDs per month, including new and recent releases, you can now rent an unlimited number of older DVDs/Blu-rays beyond the 9th item, without worrying about the rental limit. This means you can enjoy even more movies, TV dramas, anime, and more for a fixed monthly fee than ever before.
Also on the same day, our iPhone app was completely revamped, making it even more convenient to use when you're out and about.
Furthermore, we are offering a 30-day free trial campaign, allowing you to experience the service firsthand before committing to using the full service with confidence.
TSUTAYA.com offers a variety of services, including the video streaming service "TSUTAYA TV," the online home delivery rental service "TSUTAYA DISCAS," and the e-book service "TSUTAYA.com eBOOKs." Moving forward, we will continue to expand our services to "deliver all kinds of entertainment content to anyone, anywhere, anytime, through the internet in the most convenient way possible."
