—We will begin handling popular titles such as "Animal Crossing: New Leaf Download Cards"—

TSUTAYA Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo), which operates TSUTAYA stores nationwide, will begin selling Nintendo 3DS™ download cards at 478 of its Game TSUTAYA stores, which handle game software and hardware, starting today, November 1st.

Download cards allow users to download specific software via the internet by entering the download code printed on the back of the card into their Nintendo 3DS. As of November 1st, 10 titles will be available for sale, including the highly anticipated "Animal Crossing: New Leaf Download Card," which will be available for download from November 8th.

Downloaded software can be saved to an SD card inserted into the Nintendo 3DS system, eliminating the need to carry around multiple games you want to play at the same time or the hassle of swapping them out.
TSUTAYA will continue to strengthen its sales of Nintendo 3DS download cards, which are easy to use and convenient.
