TSUTAYA Company, which operates "TSUTAYA," the largest CD rental chain in Japan and worldwide in terms of the number of stores and sales, has compiled the number of CDs rented at its stores nationwide from January 1st to November 30th, 2012, and will announce it as the "2012 TSUTAYA Annual Ranking."

In the CD rental rankings, Mr.Children's best-of albums dominated the album category, taking first and second place, with "Mr.Children 2005-2010 " ranking first and "Mr.Children 2001-2005 " ranking second. In the singles category, Arashi's "Wild at Heart" came in first place, followed by miwa's "Hikari e" in second place, with both songs being theme songs for television dramas taking the top two spots. In terms of the number of titles that ranked within the top 20, Kana Nishino had the most with 4 songs, followed by Arashi, AKB48, and Ikimonogakari with 3 songs each.
