—As a special drama commemorating the theatrical release of the film "Our Exchange Diary"—

Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd.'s TSUTAYA Co., Ltd. will begin renting out the special drama "One-Person Exchange Diary" (starring Bakarhythm and Fumino Kimura), produced in collaboration with Kansai Television Broadcasting, as the company's first private-label Japanese film, at TSUTAYA stores nationwide starting tomorrow, February 22nd (Friday). This special drama was produced as another story about a shared diary to commemorate the theatrical release of "Our Exchange Diary," directed by Teruyoshi Uchimura and starring Atsushi Ito and Keisuke Koide, which will be released in theaters on March 23, 2013.

"One-Person Exchange Diary" is an alternative episode to the movie "Our Exchange Diary," starring Bakarhythm, a comedian who shines with a unique brilliance in the comedy world. The story follows Kuroda (Bakarhythm), a young man who works part-time at TSUTAYA after one of the film's main characters, Tanaka (Atsushi Ito), quits. Kuroda falls in love with a female coworker and begins keeping a diary of his fantasies.

The original story was specially written by Osamu Suzuki for this special drama, and the script was written by actor Maggie. Furthermore, Fumino Kimura, who played the role of Maiko, the girl Bakarhythm falls in love with, appears in the same role as in the movie, and a different kind of "exchange diary" unfolds, linking to the movie. Bakarhythm, playing a negative and unlucky man, shows a completely different side of himself as an actor, unlike the persona he usually displays.

This work offers a side story that wasn't told at all in the film, making it even more enjoyable to watch before going to the theater, and also something you can enjoy thoroughly after seeing the movie. This is a heartwarming story that will give you the courage to take that first step tomorrow. Furthermore, the DVD includes a special bonus feature: behind-the-scenes footage of the film "Our Exchange Diary," featuring episodes about director Uchimura and the two lead actors' passion for comedy, making it a must-see.
