-A first in the Chugoku area! The current point card, Smile Card, will be renamed to T-CARD!-

Konko Yakuhin Co., Ltd. (Head office: Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture; President and CEO: Kitayama Yuji; hereinafter referred to as "Konko Yakuhin"), which operates the Konko Yakuhin drugstore chain mainly in Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, and T Point Japan Co., Ltd. This initiative marks the first introduction of the T-POINT service at a drugstore in the Chugoku area.

Since its founding in 1934, Konko Yakuhin has been operating as a pharmaceutical retailer based in southern Okayama Prefecture. Currently, the chain has expanded to 33 stores, and in addition to selling and providing services for over-the-counter medicines and health-related products, the company is also working to enhance its insurance dispensing department in response to the separation of medical and pharmaceutical services.
As of the end of March 2013, TPJ's shared points service "T-POINT" was held by 44.54 million people (active members who have used a T-CARD in the past year, and unique members who hold multiple cards are counted as one person), which is one in three people in Japan. In Okayama Prefecture, 730,000 people, or 37.5% of the prefecture's residents, use T-CARD. In addition, there are 98 T-POINT partner companies with approximately 52,000 stores, and T-POINT can be used in a wide range of areas closely related to daily life, including TSUTAYA, ENEOS, FamilyMart, Gusto, Kitamura Camera, Doutor Coffee Shop, Autobacs, PGM Golf Courses, and Yahoo! Shopping.

Konko Yakuhin will discontinue the Smile Cards it currently issues and will begin issuing new T-CARD from May 1st. In addition, starting with the Fukushima store on June 5th, the T-POINT service and new POS registers will be gradually introduced, with implementation planned for all stores by the end of June.
From now on, customers with a T-CARD will be able to earn 1 T-POINT for every 210 yen (tax included) they spend at Konko Yakuhin, and will be able to use T-POINT earned at Konko Yakuhin and T-POINT partner stores at Konko Yakuhin at a rate of 1 point = 1 yen.

Konko Yakuhin and TPJ aim to improve customer satisfaction by providing a more convenient point service to customers who use Konko Yakuhin, and will also implement advantageous and convenient measures that will encourage customers who already have a T-CARD to visit Konko Yakuhin stores.
