-The first event is the cycling event "Tour de Tohoku 2013 in Miyagi and Sanriku"-
T Point Japan Co., Ltd. operator of Japan's largest shared points service, "T-POINT," is embarking on a new initiative to use "T-POINT" to give shape to the feelings of people who have taken on new challenges or made an effort, as well as those who sympathize with or want to support those actions. The first of these will be held on November 3, 2013, at the Tour de Tohoku 2013 in Miyagi/Sanriku, a cycling event organized by Yahoo Japan Corporation and Kahoku Shimpo Co., Ltd. with the aim of supporting the recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake and preserving the memory of the disaster for future generations.
Additionally, during this fiscal year, we plan to undertake various initiatives in collaboration with Yahoo! JAPAN based on the strategic capital and business alliance concluded between Yahoo Japan Corporation and Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. in June 2012.
T-POINT Japan is running a project to support children and community spaces in areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, "Present your T-CARD to bring smiles to children in the affected areas."" has been implemented since 2011. As the concept of reconstruction support is the same for this cycling event, it was decided to collaborate as the first step, and the "T-POINT" accumulated through the cycling event, representing the efforts and support, will be used to "Show your T-CARD and bring a smile to the faces of children in the disaster-stricken areas. The funds will be donated to the disaster-stricken areas through the "Project."
