TSUTAYA.com Inc. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Toru Sakurai), a CCC Group company that operates online entertainment businesses such as online home delivery rentals, video and music streaming, and e-commerce, will begin offering its "TSUTAYA TV" video streaming service (starting at 100 yen per title) to members of its online home delivery rental service "TSUTAYA DISCAS" from June 28th.

TSUTAYA DISCAS members can now watch movies, dramas, anime, and more on their TVs, PCs, smartphones, and tablets. It is also possible to watch works registered in the distribution list on another device. It is expected to be available on iPhone and iPad later this year.
In addition, customers who subscribe to the TSUTAYA DISCAS flat-rate rental plan will be offered the TSUTAYA TV Select Plan at a special price*1, which allows viewing of up to 20 titles for a monthly fee of 980 yen.

*1: 580 yen per month for the first month, 880 yen per month from the following month onwards

In addition, we have started selling the "TSUTAYA Stick" (2-year contract: 480 yen per month), which is available exclusively to "TSUTAYA DISCAS" members and allows you to easily enjoy video streaming on your home TV by simply inserting it into your TV's HDMI port and connecting to Wi-Fi.As a bonus, customers who purchase the "TSUTAYA Stick" will receive 400 yen worth of "TSUTAYA TV" viewing points every month (for 2 years).

This will make TSUTAYA DISCAS one of the largest online home delivery rental/video streaming services in Japan in terms of number of members*2 and product lineup*3.

This stick-shaped device allows you to stream videos to your home TV simply by inserting it into your TV's HDMI port and connecting it to Wi-Fi. A remote control app (free) is also available for iOS and Android devices, allowing you to quickly find the title you want to watch from a selection of approximately 40,000 titles by installing the free app on your smartphone, without the need for a remote control. It doesn't take up space like a set-top box or require you to worry about wiring, and you can choose between "high definition" and "standard definition" to accommodate a wide range of viewing environments.
