(Tokyo Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda), operator of Japan's largest shared points service, "T-POINT," is pleased to announce that it has conducted an online "Tanabata Survey 2013" targeting 1,211 T-members, both male and female, aged 16-69, who use T-CARD.

■The actress who comes most in mind when thinking of Orihime is Haruka Ayase, who is currently active in historical dramas. On the other hand, the actor who comes most in mind when thinking of Hikoboshi is Osamu Mukai, who is in high demand for commercials, television, and movies.

■This year's Tanabata, more than 30% of people chose "health" as their wish. Among men in their teens and twenties and men in their thirties and forties, the top answer was "I don't have anything I want to ask for." Are they satisfied with the current situation? Or have they given up?

■July 7th is a Sunday. When asked who they would most like to spend Tanabata with, the top answer was "spouse," followed by "children," with many people enjoying the traditional event with their families. On that day, the overwhelming majority of people said they would write their wishes on strips of paper and hang them up, but for men in their 50s and 60s, the most popular answer was "simply gazing at the night sky."Surprisingly, older men like to spend Tanabata in a simple and romantic way!

Q: Which actor or talent is the image of Hikoboshi from Tanabata, and which actress or talent is the image of Orihime?  *Answer method: free answer
The actress who comes in first place as the image of "Orihime" is Haruka Ayase, who is currently active in historical dramas. In second place was Yui Aragaki, and in third place was Emi Takei, both actresses who evoke the image of refreshing Japanese women who would look good in kimono. On the other hand, the actor who comes most in mind when thinking of Hikoboshi is Osamu Mukai, who is in high demand for commercials, television, and movies. In second place was "Haruma Miura" and in third place was "Masaharu Fukuyama", all prince-like characters who would suit the night sky.

Perhaps influenced by the recent health boom, more than 30% of people chose "health" as their wish for Tanabata this year. In second place, all but women in their teens and twenties ranked "money," which raises the question of whether Abenomics is working or not. Meanwhile, the top answer for men in their teens and twenties and men in their thirties and forties was "I don't have anything I want to ask for." Are men satisfied with the status quo, or have they given up? What are their feelings?

Perhaps because July 7th this year fell on a Sunday, many people enjoyed Tanabata with their families, with "spouse" coming in first and "children" coming in second. Additionally, "I don't know" was the top answer for both men and women in their teens and twenties, suggesting that the younger generation is still in the process of planning how they will spend Tanabata this year.

When asked what they would like to do on Tanabata this year, the overwhelming majority of people chose to "write their wishes on strips of paper and hang them up," a traditional way of enjoying Tanabata. However, for men in their 50s and 60s, "just gazing at the night sky" ranked first. Surprisingly, older men like to spend Tanabata in a simple and romantic way!

Tanabata is an event when it is said that Orihime and Hikoboshi are allowed to meet across the Milky Way only once a year, and the overwhelming majority of respondents chose "romantic" as the number one reason. Also, since many people write wishes on strips of paper and decorate bamboo with their families and children, "traditional" came in second place and "children's" came in third place. Other words that evoke images of sparkling stars, such as "pretty," "nice," and "beautiful," ranked highly.
