TSUTAYA.com Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Toru Sakurai), a member of the Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (CCC) Group that operates online entertainment businesses such as online home delivery rentals, video and music distribution, and e-commerce, is pleased to announce that as of July 1, 2013, it has changed its name to T-MEDIA Holdings Co., Ltd. (T-MEDIA).
T-MEDIA will further strengthen its existing internet entertainment services business, and will take over the internet-related media business operated by its parent company, CCC, and become an intermediate business holding company.
Recently, the internet environment in which our customers interact has been changing dramatically, with the rapid spread of smartphones and tablet devices and the diversification of communication methods through social media.
With this background in mind, T-MEDIA will integrate the existing online entertainment business operated by TSUTAYA.com with internet-related media businesses such as the entertainment information site "TSUTAYA online" operated by CCC, thereby consolidating all online points of contact with customers and aiming to offer lifestyle proposals that offer the number one customer value.
