Shinsei Bank, Ltd. / Aplus Financial Co., Ltd. / Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd.

- Aiming to expand the customer base of Shinsei Bank Group and Culture Convenience Club -

Shinsei Bank, Limited (President and CEO: Shigeki Toma, hereinafter referred to as "Shinsei Bank") and Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda, hereinafter referred to as "CCC") reached a basic agreement on June 25, 2013 regarding a business alliance to provide information on financial products and services to "T Members" who use CCC's shared point service "T-POINT" (※). This will enable Shinsei Bank and CCC to introduce a wide range of financial services to T members, including the Shinsei PowerFlex Comprehensive Account, and to expand the individual customer base of the Shinsei Bank Group and CCC.

Based on this partnership, Shinsei Bank and CCC will begin awarding T-POINT to T Members when they open a Shinsei PowerFlex Comprehensive Account or use designated Shinsei Bank financial products and services, starting around August 2013.

Additionally, APLUS Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Goji Noguchi, hereinafter referred to as "APLUS"), a member of the Shinsei Bank Group, has already partnered with CCC on a wide range of services, including credit cards, shopping credit, auto credit, and T-POINT services for rent payments, and has issued approximately 5 million CCC-affiliated cards (as of the end of May 2013). In the future, we will also consider developing and providing new financial products and services that combine the T-POINT service with Shinsei Bank Group's financial products to T members, including the 5 million members who have T-CARD with credit functions issued by Aplus.

In its second medium-term management plan, which began in April 2013, Shinsei Bank aims to expand the number of customers who can freely use the products and services of Shinsei Bank Group companies according to their needs. This is positioned as an important strategic partnership towards achieving this goal, and will expand the quality and quantity of T-POINT services offered by the Shinsei Bank Group, leading to an increase in the number of users of the group's products and services.

Furthermore, through this business partnership, CCC will aim to expand the environment in which T members can easily accumulate T-POINT by making financial products and services with relatively high transaction amounts eligible for T-POINT.

(*) "T-POINT" is a common points service offered by Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. As of the end of May 2013, the number of members was 45.6 million (active unique number), and T-POINT partner companies had reached 100 companies and 58,000 stores nationwide. T-POINT is Japan's largest common points service, and can be used in a wide range of areas closely related to daily life, such as TSUTAYA, ENEOS, Gusto, Kitamura Camera, and Yahoo! Shopping.
