TSUTAYA's third anniversary release of the best-selling excavated item, "The Addams Family," the third most requested reprint by fans, is finally available for rental

Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. has been running a project called "TSUTAYA Unearthed Goods" since 2010. The film "The Addams Family," which was the third most requested reprint but remained out of print, has finally been reissued as a commemorative title for the third anniversary of the project. The film will be available for rental at TSUTAYA stores nationwide from tomorrow, August 7th.

TSUTAYA's "Discovered Good Products" project is a project to reprint and re-release interesting titles that people want to see again but are not currently available in stores because they are out of print or unreleased. This project began in the summer of 2010, and with the cooperation of DVD manufacturers and rights holders, has so far reprinted and re-released 251 titles. At the beginning of last year, we held a "Classic Reprint Request" event, in which movie fans were invited to vote for the titles they would like to see released on DVD. We received a total of 7,221 submissions, and have so far reprinted 80 titles, including the most requested title, "My Friend Forever."

Also, on August 7th, Wong Kar-wai's Chungking Express, Angel Tears, Buenos Aires, and The Last Samurai, as well as Alejandro Jodorowsky's El Topo, will be released at the same time.

In addition to reproducing films in stores, "TSUTAYA Unearthed Goods" is also collaborating with television programs and magazines to promote "interesting films."On August 9th, we will be broadcasting "Really interesting movies you can watch at home, chosen by 100 movie buffs."109 (SCREEN Special Edition) (Kindai Eigasha) is also scheduled for release.
