-Sales at the two existing stores have increased significantly-

Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as CCC) will open its third TSUTAYA store in Taiwan, TSUTAYA Asia Art Films Yongzhen Store, in New Taipei City on August 18, 2013.

The opening of TSUTAYA stores in Taiwan is part of a strategic capital and business alliance for the international entertainment business concluded last year between CCC and Taiwan's CMC Group (Central China Group). Aegis International Co., Ltd. joined TSUTAYA and renovated the Aegis Video store operated by the company, opening its first store in Taiwan, TSUTAYA Aegis Video Minquan Store, in December last year and its second store, TSUTAYA Aegis Video Minsheng Store, in Taipei City in June this year.
Sales at both stores have expanded significantly thanks to the introduction of a store lineup and texture that utilizes the know-how of TSUTAYA stores in Japan, as well as content procurement based on a strategic partnership with the CMC Group.

The TSUTAYA Asia Art Film Store is located in the Yonghe District, a densely populated area in New Taipei City, on the outskirts of Taipei, and is the first TSUTAYA store in Taiwan outside of Taipei City. In addition to the wide selection of DVDs and Blu-rays that TSUTAYA Art Film has achieved, aiming to make it the "no DVD that Taiwan doesn't have," the new store will focus on "product proposals" that TSUTAYA has achieved in Japan, and will have more than twice the sales floor space of previous stores for product proposals centered on classic movies from the past, such as corners related to family-friendly films and theatrical releases.

・Location: 422 Yongzheng Road, Yonghe District, New Taipei City, Taiwan
・Products available: DVD and Blu-ray rentals, DVD and Blu-ray sales
・Store area: 172 square meters (52 tsubo)
・Business hours: 11:00 AM to midnight
Store Features: The product proposal corner will be more than double that of previous stores, providing a "place to encounter" video works, focusing on classic works from the past.

With content procurement based on a strategic partnership with the CMC Group and a selection based on database marketing, TSUTAYA Asia Art Films will provide Taiwanese people with a place to discover great films that they have wanted to watch but have not been able to rent until now.

In addition to operating TSUTAYA stores, CCC also operates a comprehensive entertainment business, from content procurement to distribution, including film distribution and DVD sales under the Culture Publishers label. With the support of TSUTAYA, one of Asia's largest entertainment chains, we will work together with the CMC Group in the field of content procurement. In the future, we will provide people with even more wonderful video content through our content distribution and copyright businesses in the film industries of Japan, Taiwan, and China.
