- Aiming to expand customer base by offering T-POINT for financial services -
Shinsei Bank, Limited (President and CEO: Shigeki Toma; hereinafter "Shinsei Bank") and T Point Japan Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda; hereinafter "TPJ"), a consolidated subsidiary of Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "CCC"), will begin awarding T-POINT to customers who newly open a Shinsei PowerFlex Comprehensive Account from Thursday, September 5, 2013, and who are "T Members" who use TPJ's shared point service "T-POINT" (※1). This is the first time that TPJ has awarded T-POINT to T members when they open an account or make a deposit.
Specifically, T-members who open a new Shinsei PowerFlex comprehensive account will be awarded 400 T-POINT. Furthermore, if the customer uses a "2-week maturity deposit" (a yen deposit with a 2-week deposit period) within three months of opening the account, additional T-POINT will be awarded according to the balance of the deposit at the end of the third month after opening the account. In June 2013, Shinsei Bank and CCC reached a basic agreement on a business partnership to introduce financial products and services to T members, with the aim of expanding the customer base of the Shinsei Bank Group and CCC. (※2) Shinsei Bank and CCC will consider expanding the range of eligible products and services in the future.
(※1) "T-POINT" is a common points service operated by T Point Japan Co., Ltd. As of the end of July 2013, the number of members was 46.44 million (active unique number), and as of the end of July 2013, the number of T-POINT affiliated companies had reached 103 companies and 60,000 stores nationwide. T-POINT is Japan's largest common points service, and can be used in a wide range of areas closely related to daily life, such as TSUTAYA, ENEOS, FamilyMart, Gusto, and Yahoo! Shopping.
