Bank of the Ryukyus Co., Ltd. / T Point Japan Co., Ltd.
Bank of the Ryukyus Co., Ltd. (Head office: Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture; President and CEO: Munehiro Kinjo; hereinafter referred to as "Bank of the Ryukyus") and T Point Japan Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya Ward, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda; hereinafter referred to as "T Point Japan"), operator of Japan's largest shared points service, "T Points," are pleased to announce that they have entered into a business partnership to introduce the T-POINT service at Bank of the Ryukyus.
Last year, Ryukyu Bank launched its medium-term management plan, "Break Through 2012," and for this fiscal year, it has set a management goal of "further accelerating its journey to becoming the bank of choice." The bank is strengthening its efforts to become "the bank of choice for customers," with high customer satisfaction and a strong financial base.
T-POINT, a common points service offered by T Point Japan, has 46.44 million members (active unique number) and 60,000 stores across 103 partner companies. It is expanding as a common points service that can be used in various aspects of daily life beyond the real world and the internet, including at TSUTAYA, ENEOS, FamilyMart, Gusto, and Yahoo! Shopping.
Through this business partnership, Ryukyu Bank and T Point Japan will become the first financial institution in Okinawa Prefecture to introduce the T-POINT service for financial products handled by Ryukyu Bank. Okinawa Prefecture has the highest membership rate in Japan, with 54.3% of the prefecture's residents holding a T-CARD, which is more than half of the prefecture's residents. The two companies will work to expand the use of Ryukyu Bank among T-CARD users, and will aim to provide even more satisfying services that meet the needs of customers and the local community.
The service is scheduled to begin this winter, and specific service content will be announced as soon as the details are decided.
