Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Tokyo Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda) is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement to establish a joint venture company (hereinafter referred to as the "Joint Venture Agreement") with Sockets Co., Ltd. (listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Mothers, stock code: 3634; hereinafter referred to as "Sockets") as of today.

1. Purpose of the joint venture agreement
As announced in the "Capital and Business Alliance with Sockets Co., Ltd." statement dated August 1, 2013, the two companies are considering a business alliance through the establishment of a joint venture company to cooperate in the development of a unique database and related services, and we have now agreed to the establishment of the joint venture company.

The joint venture company to be established will build a "common infrastructure" database that links our entertainment-focused product database with Sockets' MSDB, and will utilize this database to provide high-quality, distinctive product information to T members. Furthermore, we will also consider licensing this common infrastructure database to third parties. In addition, the joint venture will also operate the product database held by our company in order to improve the efficiency of the database.

In the future, we will consider building an emotional marketing system that analyzes the emotional characteristics attached to works and infers the user's state of mind, situation, hobbies, preferences, etc. By providing this marketing system to the two companies' in-house services through unique recommendation services, the two companies will aim to further increase viewing and purchasing opportunities, thereby expanding revenue opportunities. They will also consider providing the system to third parties and developing services that utilize the marketing system. The business alliance is between our company, T-MEDIA Holdings Co., Ltd. (an intermediate business holding company that oversees all of the CCC Group's internet businesses), the joint venture company, and Sockets.

*MSDB is a database that systematically organizes information on music, video, books, broadcasts, people's names, and local areas, as well as detailed information on the characteristics of works, and uses characteristic information as a key to realize cross-media related services by relating works. In addition, the unique ID allows for smooth management of everything from introducing works to reporting copyrights and purchasing.
