- A service that doubles or triples points depending on the number of days spent at any store nationwide -

Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd., which operates TSUTAYA stores nationwide, is launching a new T-POINT service, the "TSUTAYA Rank Up Service" (hereafter abbreviated as "TSUTARANK"), at all TSUTAYA stores nationwide from October 5, 2013. This service will allow frequent customers to accumulate even more points than before.

"Tsutarank" is a new service that allows you to accumulate more T-POINTs depending on the number of days you use TSUTAYA in the previous month. In a survey conducted in July of this year targeting T members, over 80% of respondents expressed a desire for services tailored to their usage. As a result, we have revised our previous service, which allowed anyone to earn 1 point for every 100 yen spent, and are now the first T-POINT service partner to offer a permanent service tailored to the number of days of usage.

■ Regardless of the amount you spend, if you spend at any store for a total of 5 days per month, you will earn triple points!
With "Tsuta Rank," you will be ranked as "Gold Rank" if you use the service for 5 days or more in a month, "Silver Rank" if you use the service for 3 to 4 days, and "Bronze Rank" if you use the service for 2 days or less. Those in the "Gold Rank" will earn triple the T-POINTs for the following month (3 points for every 200 yen spent), and those in the "Silver Rank" will earn double the T-POINTs (2 points for every 200 yen spent). For "Bronze Rank", you will earn 1 point for every 200 yen spent.

■If you visit two stores, one near your workplace and one near your home, on the same day, it will count as "two days of use"!
The number of days of use is counted as the number of days used at TSUTAYA stores nationwide. For example, if you use a store near your workplace or school and then use a store near your home on the same day, the number of days of use will be counted as "2 days."The number of days of use will be counted for any product or service that earns T-POINTs. For example, if you purchase a weekly magazine every week and rent it on the weekend, the number of days of use will be counted as "5 days," and you will receive triple the "Gold Rank" points the following month.
Rank calculations are conducted from the 1st to the end of each month, and the rank based on the number of days of use during that period will continue from the 5th of the following month to the 4th of the month after that. You can check your rank on the receipt you will receive when you visit TSUTAYA from October 5th onwards, or on TSUTAYA online (http://tsutaya.jp/) on your PC or mobile phone. It will also be available to view on the "TSUTAYA app" (https://tsutaya.jp/ap/) from mid-October.

■To celebrate the launch of the service, renting "Ted" will increase your rank by one!
In addition, to commemorate the launch of the TSUTAYA Rank Up Service, customers who rent "Ted" between October 5th and October 31st will receive a gift from Ted: their November rank (November 5th to December 4th) will be upgraded by one rank: from Bronze to Silver, or from Silver to Gold. During this period, be sure to rent "Ted," one of the most popular movies of the year, and earn a rank boost for the following month.
