-Continuing to expand DVD and Blu-ray rental business in Asian markets-

Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. will accelerate the opening of TSUTAYA stores in Taiwan, doubling the current number to eight stores by the end of the year.

On November 15th, we will open our first store in the Taichung area, the TSUTAYA Asia Art Film Mimura Store, in Taichung City's West District. TSUTAYA will continue to expand its DVD and Blu-ray rental business in the Asian market, including Japan.

The opening of TSUTAYA stores in Taiwan is part of a strategic capital and business alliance between CCC and Taiwan's CMC Group (Central China Group). Asia Art International Co., Ltd. joined TSUTAYA and opened the "TSUTAYA Asia Art Movies Civil Rights Store" in Taipei City last December, and now operates four stores in Taipei City and its surrounding areas.
TSUTAYA Art Films offers DVD and Blu-ray rentals and sales, and by utilizing its know-how in Japan to create sales areas and implement product proposals, it has seen a significant increase in sales of older titles that have been available for rental for more than a year.

In the Asian market, there is a high level of interest and preference for a wide variety of video content, including not only Hollywood films but also Asian films, Japanese films, anime, and Korean dramas. By providing a wide selection of products, there is likely to be ample room for expansion of the DVD rental and sales market.

In the future, CCC will expand its TSUTAYA stores based on its strategic partnership with the CMC Group, and by revising its product lineup based on database marketing, will provide Taiwanese people with a place to discover great films that they have never been able to see before. 　Furthermore, through our content distribution and copyright businesses, we will provide people with more fantastic video content from the film industries of Japan, Taiwan, and China.
