Crocs' first room slippers, the Crocs Lodge Slippers, which were launched on Tuesday, October 22, 2013, as a collaboration between TSUTAYA and Crocs Japan, have been well received, with sales reaching 4.8 times the initial plan. We are pleased to announce that we have decided to expand the number of stores selling the products from Saturday, December 28.
The Crocs Lodge Slippers were conceived and commercialized in Japan, inspired by the fact that Crocs' classic clogs are often used as indoor footwear in offices, kindergartens, and other places in Japan. For the launch, rather than being a traditional shoe store, we proposed a new lifestyle and collaborated with TSUTAYA, which offers a wide range of entertainment options for the home, to consider how to present and sell the product and deliver it to everyone.
Previously, the product was sold at approximately 300 TSUTAYA stores nationwide and through the TSUTAYA online shopping site, but it has been well received, far exceeding initial expectations, and now that the supply system is in place, the company has decided to add 100 stores, expanding the number of stores to 400. The bags are available in three sizes: S (23cm-24cm), M (25cm-26cm), and L (27cm-28cm), and four colors: "evergreen," "black," "espresso," and "pink lemonade" (S size only), and are priced at 2,980 yen each (tax included).
