T Point Japan signs sponsorship contract with professional golfer Ai Kido

T Point Japan Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda; hereinafter referred to as "TPJ"), operator of Japan's largest shared points service "T-POINT", has signed a sponsorship contract with professional golfer Ai Kido. Additionally, she will serve as the hostess pro for the T-POINT Ladies Golf Tournament, an official tour of the Ladies Professional Golf Association of Japan (LPGA), sponsored by TPJ. This is TPJ's first sponsorship contract with a female professional golfer.

TPJ has been hosting the "T-POINT Ladies Golf Tournament" since 2010, with the aim of creating a new lifestyle through the sport of golf. Meanwhile, Kido Ai is expected to help increase the number of golfers across a wide range of generations, from juniors to seniors, and as TPJ and Kido Ai's concepts of golf matched, they have now concluded a sponsorship contract.

This year's T-POINT Ladies Golf Tournament will be held in a new location, Saga Prefecture, which will be the first location for a women's professional golf tour, rather than the usual location of Kagoshima Prefecture. As we walk through this new stage together with Kido Ai, who is loved by many fans and continues to make great strides every year, TPJ will continue to support her further success together with our 47.75 million T members.

TPJ will work with Ai Kido on a charity project that will lead to donations to the LPGA Junior Development Fund. The company aims to encourage even more people to incorporate golf, which was designated an official event at the 2016 Summer Olympics, into their lifestyles, and to make T-POINT a familiar point that is closely connected to the local community.

It's very encouraging to know that T-POINT, a company close to me, is supporting me, and I would like to do my best this season to compete for many championships and live up to their support.
Also, at the T-POINT Ladies Golf Tournament in late March, I hope to liven up the tournament as the host pro and, if possible, win.
