- Unearthed masterpieces such as "Bolero," "Kiss of the Spider Woman," and "Paris, Texas" will be brought back to the big screen -
Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd., the Entertainment Business Division, which operates TSUTAYA stores nationwide, and Tokyo Theatres Co., Ltd., which operates the Theatre Cinema Group, will be holding the 2nd TSUTAYA Unearthed Film Festival in Tokyo and Osaka from March to May this year, marking the 5th year of the festival. The festival will screen selected films from the "masterpieces" created by "TSUTAYA Unearthed Films," which has revived many lesser-known classic films. The first Unearthed Goods Film Festival was held in Osaka last year and was met with great acclaim, leading to the decision to hold the second festival. Furthermore, there were many requests for a Tokyo festival, so it has been decided that the festival will also be held in Tokyo from this year.
The nine films scheduled to be screened include "Bolero," which features Ravel's memorable music; "Kiss of the Spider Woman," which won awards at film festivals and awards around the world, including the Academy Awards and the Cannes Film Festival; and "Paris, Texas," which established the road movie genre.

■What is "TSUTAYA Unearthed Goods"?
This is a "private brand" project in which TSUTAYA and DVD manufacturers will jointly re-release "classics" that are only known to a few people but are interesting but have not been available in TSUTAYA stores due to reasons such as being out of print or not being released on DVD, and sell them in TSUTAYA stores nationwide. Since the project began in July 2010, as of February 14, 2014, 278 films have been reprinted and re-released and are being delivered to movie fans at TSUTAYA stores nationwide.
