Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Tokyo Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda) is pleased to announce that T-POINT, Japan's largest shared points service, has achieved a record high of 2,490,440,000 transactions*1 (up 25.7% from the previous year) in the total number of T-CARD transactions between January and December 2013.
The number of T-CARD usages reached a record high due to the launch of the T-POINT service at all stores of Maruetsu, the largest food supermarket in the Tokyo metropolitan area, in February 2013, which expanded the number of situations in which T-POINT can be used in daily life in the Tokyo metropolitan area, where there are many T-CARD users. The introduction of the T-POINT service at PGM Group golf courses in April led to an increase in the number of users of T-CARD Smart Check-in, a signature-less check-in service at golf courses. Finally, on July 1, Yahoo! Points was integrated into T-POINT, creating a common point service that spans both online and offline, making it possible to provide a point service that is even more convenient than before.

In 2013, the T-CARD became the first public library to accept it as a library card at Takeo City Library and Historical Museum, and the Yawaruki Switch Group became the first in the education industry to award T-POINT to children for their efforts and goal achievement, expanding the value of T-POINT in new ways. Other companies that launched the T-POINT service in 2013 include Yamato, a supermarket chain in Kagoshima; Expedia, the world's largest online travel site with operations in 30 countries; At Home, a real estate information service; and financial institutions Shinsei Bank and Bank of the Ryukyus, for a total of 14 companies.As of the end of January 2014, T-POINT Alliance companies numbered 110 companies and 67,863 stores nationwide, and the number of active and unique T Members, who have used T-POINT in the past year and have multiple T-CARDs, is 47.97 million.
