-A first for a mobile phone operator! SoftBank points will be converted into "T-POINT"-

SoftBank Mobile Corp. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Masayoshi Son; hereinafter "SoftBank Mobile") and T Point Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda; hereinafter "T Point Japan") are pleased to announce that they have entered into a business partnership agreement regarding point programs.

As a result of this agreement, from July 2014, "SoftBank Points," which are accumulated based on SoftBank mobile phone usage fees, will be replaced by "T-POINT"*1. In addition, individual customers who sign up for a new contract with SoftBank Mobile after April 1, 2014 will be able to earn "T-POINT" from their usage from the contract date onwards*2. In addition, from July 1, 2014, T-POINT will be available to use for the purchase and repair of SoftBank mobile phones, as well as for purchasing accessories, and T-POINT will also be available to use for the payment of monthly charges*3. Customers who do not use SoftBank mobile phones can also use "T-POINT" if they already have them.

T-POINT, operated by T Point Japan, is Japan's largest shared points service, with 110 companies and 68,734 stores participating nationwide and 48.11 million active unique users as of the end of February 2014. "T-POINT" can be used in all sorts of situations that are closely related to daily life, such as at TSUTAYA, FamilyMart, Three F, ENEOS, Gusto, and Yahoo! Shopping.

SoftBank Mobile and T Point Japan will continue to strive to improve their services to meet the expanding needs for points usage in various areas, with the aim of proposing happy and prosperous lifestyles to customers of all ages across Japan.

*1 You will receive 5 T-POINT for every 1,000 yen (excluding tax) spent.
*2 Points for April to June 2014 are scheduled to be awarded in July 2014. Please note that eligible customers will not be able to earn SoftBank Points.
*3 1 point can be used for 1 yen.
*From July 1, 2014, your current SoftBank Points can be used at a rate of 1 point = 1 yen (tax included). Please note that SoftBank Points cannot be exchanged for T-POINT.
