-Opening of the first "complex" TSUTAYA store in Taiwan-
Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. will open its eighth TSUTAYA store in Taiwan, TSUTAYA Asia Art Film and Video Hankou Store (Yaiyinning Hankoudian), in Taichung City, Taiwan, on April 18th.
The Hankou store has a sales floor area of 100 tsubo, approximately double the size of previous TSUTAYA Asia Art Film stores, and is TSUTAYA Asia Art Film's first multi-purpose store, offering books, coffee, and miscellaneous goods in addition to DVD and Blu-ray rentals and sales.
The first floor will be a space where you can enjoy coffee while reading a book, as well as books, miscellaneous goods, DVDs and Blu-rays.
The second floor rental floor will stock 45,000 DVDs and Blu-rays, approximately 1.5 times the number of DVDs and Blu-rays in stock at previous stores, making it the store with the largest inventory of any DVD rental store in Taiwan.
The store also has a kids' space with a collection of children's DVDs and books, and free Wi-Fi is available.
Until now, TSUTAYA in Taiwan has operated stores that mainly sell and rent DVDs and Blu-rays. Using this combined store initiative as a foothold, the company will continue to renovate and open existing stores, and will also consider opening large combined stores in the future.

■About CCC/TSUTAYA's business expansion in Taiwan
The opening of TSUTAYA stores in Taiwan is part of a strategic capital and business alliance for the international entertainment business that CCC and Taiwan's CMC Group (Central China Group) concluded in 2012. Asia Art International Co., Ltd. joined TSUTAYA and opened the TSUTAYA Asia Art Movies Civil Rights Store in Taipei in December 2012. Since then, the company has expanded to six stores in Taipei and its surrounding areas, and two stores in Taichung in central Taiwan, including the newly opened Hankou store, for a total of eight stores.
In February of this year, the company launched the online home delivery rental service "TSUTAYA Asia1 Film Rental Network" (http://rental.asia1.com.tw/). Utilizing CCC's know-how in Japan, we have renewed the existing online home delivery rental service, 亞藝影音租片網, and expanded our inventory.
CCC plans to continue opening TSUTAYA stores in Taiwan, including large-scale stores, and together with the online rental delivery service, will provide Taiwanese people with a place both in person and online to discover great films and books that they have never been able to see before.
