The film "Dark Blood" stars River Phoenix, an actor who passed away at the young age of 23 but continues to captivate the world with his extraordinary talent.
On October 31, 1993, at the height of his popularity, he collapsed on the streets of Hollywood due to a drug overdose. The untimely death of this youth star who symbolized the era has brought great sadness and shock to people all over the world. Due to this tragedy, the film "Dark Blood," which was in the middle of filming, was deemed impossible to complete without the lead actor and was shelved for a long time, but the film's fate began to change again. Director Georges Sluizer, who fell seriously ill at the end of 2007 and was told he only had a short time left to live, decided to return to this project as his final work. The film was completed in 2012 after overcoming various obstacles, including issues with the rights to the film that the director himself had carefully kept and the need to recreate unfilmed scenes. In 2013, the 20th anniversary of River's death, the film was met with acclaim at the Berlin International Film Festival and other film festivals around the world, once again impressing modern audiences with River's unique presence.
