"Tsutaya Rock Special Live" to be held on September 2nd! First wave of artists announced!

Culture Convenience Club TSUTAYA Company, which operates TSUTAYA stores nationwide that sell music CDs, will be holding a "Tsutaya Rock Special Live" simultaneously at two venues, TSUTAYA O-WEST and O-nest (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) on September 2, 2014.

This live performance is a special live event at Tsuta Rock, following the music event "Tsutata Rock Festival 2014" held on April 1st.

The first artists to be announced are KEYTALK, who also appeared at the previous Tsutaya Rock Festival 2014 held on April 1st and will be releasing their long-awaited first major full album on May 21st, and Kuuso Iinkai, who will be releasing their first full album and their first major debut album on June 4th.

Following the appearance of these two promising young bands who are set to liven up the Japanese rock scene in the future, we will announce further information on additional artists as soon as they are decided.

■What is Tsutara Rock?
TSUTAYA's CD and DVD sales brand, TSUTAYA RECORDS, is running a rock 'n' roll campaign where if you purchase a CD by a participating artist, you'll be entered into a lottery to win original live performances, signed merchandise, and more.
Past Tsuta Rock Live performances have featured a diverse lineup of artists ranging from newcomers to established names, including [Alexandros] (ex-[Champagne]), Alkal, KEYTALK, Kinoko Teikoku, GOOD4NOTHING, CreepHyp, SAKANAMON, Sambomaster, Czecho No Republic, Soredemo Sekai ga Tsuzuku Nara, TOTALFAT, Dragon Ash, tricot, Namba Akihiro, THE BACK HORN, The Birthday, back number, HUSKING BEE, Hello Sleepwalkers, Fujimaki Ryota, THE BAWDIES, My First Story, MAN WITH A MISSION, The Mirraz, and Yatsui Ichiro (DJ). On April 1st, the "Tsutaya Rock Festival" was held simultaneously at four venues: TSUTAYA O-EAST/O-WEST/O-nest/O-Crest.

■About TSUTAYA
Of the approximately 1,450 TSUTAYA stores nationwide, approximately half carry the CD and DVD sales brand "TSUTAYA RECORDS."Since last year, we have launched "Tsutawa Rock," "T-GROOOVE," and "Wear The Music" as an initiative to propose new "music experiences" that combine live performances with CD purchases and rentals. Up until now, many bands have held live performances at the various live houses operated by O-Group.
