To celebrate the nationwide release of Studio Ghibli's latest film, "When Marnie Was There," which opens nationwide on Saturday, July 19th, TSUTAYA Company, which operates TSUTAYA stores nationwide, will be offering free rentals of the CD containing the theme song "Fine On The Outside" sung by L.A.-based singer-songwriter Priscilla Ahn for a limited time from Wednesday, June 18th to Wednesday, July 16th.

This free rental project was made possible by TSUTAYA in cooperation with Studio Ghibli and Yamaha Music Communications in order to provide the world with the voice of Priscilla Ahn, who was selected to sing the theme song for the Studio Ghibli film "When Marnie Was There," as well as high-quality music.

We will also be running a gift campaign in conjunction with "The Wind Rises," which will be released for rental on DVD and Blu-ray on the same day, to promote both films.

■Who is Priscilla Ahn, the singer who was selected to perform the theme song for "When Marnie Was There"?
She signed with Blue Note Records and made her major debut in 2008 with the album "Good Day," gaining media attention as a major new talent following in the footsteps of Norah Jones. The selection of this theme song came about as a result of a mini-concert held at the Ghibli Museum at the end of 2013.
Priscilla Ahn's touching, pure voice and melodies will be heard across the country this summer.

■ Studio Ghibli's latest film, "When Marnie Was There"
"When Marnie Was There," director Yonebayashi's second feature film following "The Secret World of Arrietty," is a fantasy based on the children's book of the same name by British author Joan G. Robinson. Set in the marshes of a seaside village in Hokkaido and an abandoned marshland mansion, the story follows the growth of Anna, a closed-hearted girl, through her summer interactions with a mysterious girl named Marnie.
