(Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda; hereinafter referred to as "CCC") hereby announces that at the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders held on October 20, 2014, a resolution was passed regarding organizational restructuring effective December 1, 2014, with the decision made to spin off three of its internal companies: TSUTAYA Company, which handles the TSUTAYA business; CCC Entertainment Company, which handles the publishing and content business; and CCC Marketing Company, which handles the database marketing business.
In an era of rapidly diversifying lifestyles, CCC will establish a new, highly agile company that will transform intellectual capital such as brands and databases into customer value. Each subsidiary will continue to strive to further accelerate business growth and maximize customer value creation.
