-The winning works will be published in the digital version of "Comic Earth Star"-
Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as CCC), which operates "TSUTAYA," together with Earth Star Entertainment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as ESE), opened the "National Manga Grand Prix" in April of this year and closed the application period on September 30th. After a rigorous screening process, no winners were selected in the Manga category, and one work was selected for the Special Award and one work for the Encouragement Award in the Original Story category, as shown below.
The aim of this award is to discover unpublished serialized manga that will represent Japan as a "national manga," and with the support of TSUTAYA and Comic Earth Star, it will lead to new works that will be widely read. We received a wide variety of applications from people of all ages. The winners in the two categories below will receive a cash prize and will have their work featured in the digital version of Comic Earth Star*1, which will be launched on December 22, 2014.
CCC will continue to actively discover new works and provide many people with the thrill of experiencing entertainment through its content distribution business.

In addition to popular works such as "Encouragement of Climbing Mountain," "Teekyu," and "Tokyo Bicycle Girl," many new series are scheduled to begin.
