- Google Glass*1 will recommend "book and music pairings" derived from CCC's big data, providing a completely new entertainment experience that simultaneously stimulates the senses of sight and hearing -
Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda; hereinafter referred to as "CCC") will be holding a limited-time event called "Culture Marriage," which will offer a completely new entertainment experience using new technology, from December 18th to 25th at Daikanyama T-Site (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo).
This event will be a concept model (experimental initiative) that looks to the future and proposes new lifestyles through entertainment. (Therefore, we will limit the number of people who can participate in the experience by prior application. )
Based on lifestyle data derived from the big data held by CCC, the "matching level" of compatibility between people and content, and between content and content, is calculated. During the event, if you wear Google Glass, which will be available for loan at Daikanyama T-Site, and look at the special corner, the Google Glass camera will automatically recognize the image of the book cover, and music that is highly compatible with the book and takes into account your personal lifestyle data will play from the Google Glass earphones. *2 At the same time, information about the book and music will be displayed on the Google Glass monitor.
This will allow users to discover new entertainment experiences they have never experienced before when selecting content such as books and music. Books stimulate the visual sense, music stimulates the auditory sense, and by taking into account data that matches the individual, the book and music content mutually enhance each other's appeal. The result is a multifaceted entertainment experience, just as the pairing of wine and food amplifies the flavor in a three-dimensional way.
We will be accepting applications for participants to try out the experience from today, November 26th, until December 2nd on a special website. For details, please check the special website.
During the event, customers who visit the store other than those who applied in advance will also be able to enjoy a simple experience. (This will be a simple experience of the marriage of books and music. Please note that the number of Google Glass units available is limited. )
