- Hitachi's local home appliance store "Hitachi Chain Store" original T card with credit function -
Hitachi Consumer Marketing, Inc. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Koichiro Nakamura; hereinafter "Hitachi CM") and APLUS Co., Ltd. (Head office: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture; President and CEO: Goji Noguchi; hereinafter "APLUS"), a consolidated subsidiary of APLUS Financial Co., Ltd., will begin accepting applications and issuing "Hitachi Chain Store T Cards" from February 1, 2015, which will enable users to earn and use "T Points" operated by T Point Japan Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Muneaki Masuda; hereinafter "T Point Japan") at Hitachi Chain Stores, Hitachi's local home appliance stores.
Hitachi Chain Store is a locally based home appliance retailer that sells Hitachi home appliances and provides detailed services such as installation and repairs.
Since October 2012, Hitachi CM has been offering "T Points," Japan's largest (*1) common points service, at its "Hitachi Chain Stores."Two years have passed since the launch of this service, and now there are more than 600 Hitachi Chain Stores that offer T Points. As customers have come to understand that they can earn and use T Points, this has led to sales promotion and new customer acquisition at local electronics stores.
APLUS has traditionally issued T Cards with credit functions that incorporate the "T Point" function, but by issuing the "Hitachi Chain Store T Card," the company aims to further expand its user base and actively promote the use of the "T Point" service.
The newly issued Hitachi Chain Store T Card has a credit card payment function that was not available on previous T Cards issued by Hitachi Chain Store. This means that you can earn and use T Points not only by presenting your card at T Point partner stores, which number approximately 297,000 nationwide (as of the end of December 2014), but also by using your card for payment.
In addition, increasing the number of Hitachi Chain Stall stores that can use the T Point service will lead to increased awareness of Hitachi Chain Stall and increased opportunities for use. Furthermore, by creating an original design, the unique T-Card will increase affinity with Hitachi Chain Stores even more than before.
To coincide with the launch of the Hitachi Chain Store T Card, Hitachi CM will be running a campaign to give 1,000 T Points (*2) to all new cardholders for three months from February 1 to April 30, 2015. (*3)
Applications for the Hitachi Chain Stall T Card can be made at any Hitachi Chain Stall store.
Hitachi CM will further utilize T Points by issuing Hitachi Chain Store T Cards to encourage customers to visit Hitachi Chain Stores, and will provide home appliances and various services through friendly, courteous, and attentive service that is closely connected to the local community.
(*1) As of December 31, 2014, this is the common point service with the most partner companies, with 122 partner companies for "T Points."
