-To celebrate this success, we are running a 39 (Thank You) campaign starting today!-

TSUTAYA Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo), which operates the nationwide chain of TSUTAYA bookstores, Japan's number one bookstore chain in terms of sales, has announced that it will be expanding the number of Rurubu magazine titles available on Airbook from 25 to 30 from mid-March due to the positive reception of the new reading experience service that combines print and digital books, which was launched on December 1, 2014. We are also considering expanding our range of magazines and books, and plan to start by offering digital bonuses for books. In addition, to commemorate the popularity of "Airbook," we are starting a campaign today where you can receive 39 (thank you) T-Points.
"Airbook" is a service that allows you to purchase a book at participating TSUTAYA stores nationwide (※1) by presenting your T-Card, and the digital version of the book you purchased will be automatically downloaded and you can enjoy it for free.
This service is provided through the e-book site BookLive! as the first service under a business partnership announced last year with BookLive, Inc., with the aim of creating a comprehensive book platform.

The target magazines, covering a wide range of genres, were 53 titles from 20 publishers, including "MEN'S NON-NO," "Seventeen," "Weekly Toyo Keizai," "Diamond ZAi," "Orange Page," "ROSSO," "CasaBRUTUS," "Weekly Soccer Digest," and many others, and the performance of the target magazines exceeded the industry average growth rate of 102% (※2).

Particularly successful stores are SHIBUYA TSUTAYA in 1st place, TSUTAYA BOOK STORE Kamiyacho Ekimae store in 2nd place, and TSUTAYA Osaki Ekimae store in 3rd place, with one in ten customers who purchase eligible products using Airbook.

In addition, we handle 25 titles of the travel magazine "Rurubu," allowing customers planning a trip to enjoy the fun of planning their trip in the print version and experience the convenience of the travel destination in the digital version. "Rurubu Tochigi Utsunomiya Nasu Nikko 2015" was well received, exceeding the industry average growth rate of 141% (※3). In order to provide this experience to many customers in the spring travel season, we will be adding five new Rurubu titles from mid-March and also aim to expand our selection of regular magazines.

In addition, as the second part of our new reading experience service, we plan to launch digital benefits in spring 2015. We will propose new ways to enjoy books and digital media by including digital bonuses such as "another story" for novels, "original illustrations" for comics, "unpublished photos" for photo books, and "special recipes" for cookbooks.

To commemorate the popularity of this campaign, we will also be holding a 39 (Thank You) campaign where you can receive 39 T Points. If you are using Airbook for the first time, you will receive T Points just by registering as a new BookLive! member on the official website during the service campaign period.

TSUTAYA will utilize its database of 777 bookstores nationwide to offer a space where customers can enjoy the texture and encounter of books that can only be found in a real bookstore, while also creating new reading value by allowing customers to experience the portability and convenience of digital versions, thereby revitalizing the entire industry.
