Overview of the "AR Art Museum"

This exhibition allows visitors to view paintings on panels and cubes by holding a special mobile device over them. The exhibition uses AR (augmented reality) technology to allow visitors to see another "reality."
AR is an abbreviation for Augmented Reality, a technology that adds electronic information to real-world scenes. At this exhibition, visitors can view the artworks using a mobile device with the app "ARART" installed. When you look at a painting through a mobile device, part or all of it changes, and things depicted in the painting begin to move or hidden things become visible. For example, water starts flowing from a dried-up waterfall and skeletons start dancing. Or snow falls, a sailing ship sets sail, and famous paintings that everyone knows change shape. At the venue, mobile devices with a dedicated app installed will be loaned out free of charge so that visitors can view the artworks.
